Event News: 4 The Heroes High School All-Star Game to Be Live Streamed on Extra Inning Softball

Three of the All-Stars who will represent Team North in the 4 The Heroes All-Star High School Game (l-r) Bailey Hudgeons, Dripping Springs High; Marissa Camacho, Lockhart High and Alyssa Barrientez, Lockhart High. Kevin Mills, Treasurer of 4 The Heroes is on the right.

The 1st annual 4 The Heroes High School All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, June 4 at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas and will feature 50 top senior softball players from the greater San Antonio region.

Among the many notable players who will participate are pitchers Aliyah Pritchett (Baylor signee), Logan Hulon (Houston), Kamryn Caldwell (Texas Tech) and Gaby Katz (North Carolina).

The game will kick off at 7 pm CST and will be streamed live on Extra Inning Softball.

The 4 The Heroes Foundation was formed in 2013 to honor military, first responders
and their families with the main purpose “to make sure that those heroes are never forgotten,” according to John Bacon, the Chairman of the Board for the organization.

Bacon explains the all-star game has multiple purposes.

“We at 4 The Heroes foundation are excited to embark on this opportunity to help promote not only the female high school athlete but to also promote the sport of softball.”

The game will feature 25 players on each team divided by Team North and Team South with the coaches to be Wade Womack of Dripping Springs High and John Carpenter with Hyde Park High.

“We have searched and scouted for the top 50 players in the greater San Antonio region to represent their local high school,” Bacon continues. “These 50 players were selected by a selection committee out of the greater San Antonio region. The selection committee is made up of various coaches, sports writers and former college coaches.”

The invited players were presented their All-Star Game jerseys at one of their high school games and will practice with their 4 The Heroes teams on June 3, the day before the all-star contest.

Team North and Team South will each represent one of two local charities—the San Antonio Firefighters Benevolent Fund and the Women Veterans of San Antonio. The pre-game coin toss which determine the home team and which charity will be represented by which team.

The 4 The Heroes Foundation will be donating to the charities.

“The winning team’s charity will receive a larger donation from us and we believe this will make the game a little more competitive,” adds Bacon. “We are very excited that both of these local charities will be attending the game as well.”

The All-Star Game will also be streamed live across the country and will also be covered by the local news.

“We are very thankful for each one of our sponsors that helped make our vision of this game possible,” the 4 The Heroes Chairman says. “ The game is being nationally sponsored by Easton Sports, Black Star Athletics, 5 Tool Sports, Rudy’s and many others.”

Tickets can be ordered online and are $8 each.
