We frequently get asked how to best nominate a player for the Extra Elite 100 rankings.
As you probably now, on April 26, 2021 (a week from Monday), we will kick off the updated 2023 Extra Elite 100 rankings and we are receiving a ton of online nominations.

Remember that players and parents can send in information that may be used for bios, including stats, honors and accomplishments, but the club coaches are the ones that “carry the weight” when it comes to their recommendations!
Click HERE to go to the Nominations page (in this case, it’s for players but coaches and even teams can be nominated!)
And we cross-check significantly with other coaches, both regionally and nationally, so if a prospect isn’t ultimately rated where hoped don’t blame the club coach!
Below you’ll find an example of a well-done nomination by Don Murphy of the Louisville Lady Sluggers 16U – Murphy team… this is how we like it done!
Coach Murphy also sent us excellent photos–a head shot and an action pic–which are included above.
One final thing we’d love to have from those sending in information–when you upload photos, make sure they’re good quality pics and also are identified, meaning the players name is in the name of the photo if possible. For example, a photo would preferably named in a recognizable way such as Jane Doe – Vermont Alligators.jpg.
Check out this actual submission and see how the text gives everything needed to provide a strong foundation for a write-up if the athlete is found to be a top 100 caliber talent! And, in this case, we’ve done our research and know that Delani is a strong candidate to crack the list!

| 40-50 Delani Sullivan exploded onto the softball scene in the 2023 class. A great athlete, her speed and quickness allows her to be the prototypical leadoff lefty centerfielder with true triple threat skills (bunt, slap, hit for power). Delani finished up the season batting .434, scored 47 runs and swiped 54/56 bases. Delani flashes her 2.6 home-to-first speed at the plate and the grass. In the outfield Delani has game changing closing speed and covers a ton of ground. “Delani has Power 5 speed and athletic ability. Her defensive actions and triple threat abilities make her a big time project.” , says Coach Don Murphy. One Coach commented: “That kid has game changing speed, no such thing as ball down in the gap with her patrolling out there.” Delani plays for Great Crossings High School and is from Georgetown, KY. |
