Extra Elite 100 Rankings: the Basics on Schedules, Nominations & More

Marisa Bryson, a standout 2026 infielder with AASA, makes a play in the infield.

For each Extra Elite 100 recruiting class, we normally receive anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 submissions as we work with top club coaches, trainers and position coaches to find out who has impressed at each age level.

Here are some important notes to remember about the ratings system:

  • Moving forward, the Extra Elite 100 will be a true top 100 list.
  • The top 100 is based on in-house scouting along with input/feedback from selected travel ball coaches and organizational heads who have competed against top teams nationwide.
  • Though no more ties in the 1-100 range, there will be MORE opportunities for players to be honored including…
  • … the NEW Regional Rankings to cover the following areas:
      • Region 1—Northeast (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia)
      • Region 2—Southeast (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee)
      • Region 3 – Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Wisconsin)
      • Region 4—Southwest (Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas)
      • Region 5—Mountain (Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming)
      • Region 6—West (Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington)
  • Another area for players to be included and honored is in the Positional Rankings which will be expanded also.
  • Finally, here is the schedule of classes we’ve done already in 2023 and upcoming rankings through the end of the year:
