Oklahoma is adding a familiar face to their coaching staff, as program alumnus Falepolima Aviu is joining the Sooners’ coaching staff.
Aviu will fill the “4th paid assistant” role on the OU staff.
The 2023 season was Aviu’s first as a college coach, as she served as hitting coach at North Carolina. She shepherded the Tar Heel offense to a .275 team batting average, 37 home runs, and 214 runs scored in 54 games.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks at UNC, Aviu served as a graduate assistant at OU in 2022, as a graduate assistant at Ole Miss in 2021, and as a student manager at OU in 2020.
