The final roster is set for Athletes Unlimited’s new AUX Softball competition, which will take place at San Diego State University, June 13-25.
Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Title IX and created as an expansion of Athletes Unlimited Softball to provide more playing opportunities and compensation to athletes and more pro softball for fans, AUX Softball (pronounced A-U-X) will feature 42 athletes playing 18 games at the SDSU Softball Stadium.
*** Tickets are available now at auprosports.com/tickets or by clicking HERE. All games will be broadcast live exclusively on ESPN platforms.
The AUX Softball roster features 11 Olympians from four countries, and includes three draftees who recently finished their college careers and turned pro by signing with Athletes Unlimited.
This group includes:
- former San Diego State pitcher Maggie Balint, who will begin her professional career on the same field she called home in college;
- former USF pitcher Georgina Corrick;
- Arkansas corner infielder Danielle Gibson.
*** The full roster and broadcast schedule for AUX Softball can be found below.
Like its other leagues, Athletes Unlimited AUX Softball will feature a range of scoring innovations to bring athletes and fans a unique and intense version of the sport. Individual athletes earn points based on both team wins and individual performance and become the champions in team sports. Points are earned on every play and the leaderboard will change constantly.
In addition, teams will change after each three-game series, with the top four athletes in the standings serving as captains and drafting their teams. At the end of the two-week season, the player with the most points will be crowned as individual champion.
