Grateful at the Plate: What Our Ranked Players Are Thankful For – 2028 Carly Franklin
As part of Extra Inning Softball’s Thanksgiving series, we asked some of the top-ranked players what they’re most thankful for this season. Today, we’re featuring Carly Franklin, a standout in the Class of 2028, who shared a heartfelt message about what matters most to her.
She is thankful for her family’s unwavering support, her coaches and teammates who constantly push her to be her best, and the game of softball for teaching her life lessons and shaping her into the person she is today.
First, the most important thing: my family. Without their constant support, time, and energy, I would not be the player I am today. I am also thankful for my coaches and teammates, who constantly push me to be the best player and all-around person I can be. And finally, I am thankful for the game of softball itself. I truly don’t know what my life would be like without it.
Softball has taught me countless lessons—not just about sports but also about life. Every day, it pushes me to strive for a better version of myself. Whether it’s at-home workouts or practices with my best friends, softball is the best part of my week. It truly shapes who I am, and I am so excited for the rest of my journey, as it has only just begun! – Carly Franklin
It’s clear that Franklin values the unwavering support of her family, coaches, and teammates, along with her love for the game, which forms the foundation of her softball journey.
Currently ranked #97 in the Extra Elite 100 Outfielders for the Class of 2028, Carly Franklin has made a name for herself with her impressive skills on the field. As a member of Newtown Rock 14U National Bodick, she’s shown that hard work and gratitude go hand in hand.
