How Cacey Shorter Battled Back with Faith and Fight

2027 catcher/utility player Cacey Shorter faced what most athletes fear: a sudden halt to everything she loved. Just as her freshman year at Sullivan High School hit its stride, Shorter was sidelined by a torn bicep tendon and a large bone spur on her rotator cuff. Not long after shoulder surgery, she was rushed into a second operation for chronic cholecystitis of the gallbladder.

Follow along as we share Shorter’s relentless recovery, her deepening faith, and the people who carried her through a year filled with physical pain, emotional trials, and spiritual growth.
