We are down to the Final 3 in the 18U and 16U Divisions at the first HFL Eastern Fall Championship in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Premier Fastpitch-Paulson placed fourth after losing to the Wichita Mustangs, 2-1, in the 18U quarterfinals on Saturday night and will earn a berth to the Tier 2 Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series.

Williamsburg Starz Gold-Bunn faces Lady Lightning Gold DPS-Corn in the winner’s bracket 18U semifinals on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET. The winner is guaranteed a spot in the Tier 1 AFCS. The loser faces the Wichita Mustangs in the loser’s bracket semifinals at 11 a.m. ET with the loser of that game taking third place and earning a Tier 2 berth to the AFCS.

Whoever comes out of the loser’s bracket will play for the 18U HFL Eastern Fall Championship and both of those finalists will earn Tier 1 berths to the AFCS.

In 16U, Hanover Hornets National-Grizzard face the Empire State Huskies National in the winner’s bracket semifinals. The loser takes on Lady Lightning Gold Elite-Corn in the loser’s bracket semifinals.

The third and fourth place finishers earn Tier 2 berths to the AFCS and the two finalists receive Tier 1 berths to the AFCS.

AFCS Tier 1 was described to us as similar to PGF Premier and Tier 2 is like PGF Platinum. The 2021 16U and 18U Tier 1 and Tier 2 AFCS is scheduled for July 24-28 and will be hosted by USA Softball in Oklahoma City, OK.
