Former Oklahoma and North Texas pitcher Hope Trautwein is joining the coaching staff at Houston, according to her social media pages.
Both Trautwein’s Twitter and Instagram bios have been updated to note that she is an assistant coach at UH.
The coaching role is Trautwein’s first full-time position; she spent the 2023 season on the support staff at Oklahoma, her alma mater. She is also currently playing professionally for the USSSA Pride.
Trautwein transferred to Oklahoma for the 2022 season after spending the first four years of her career at North Texas. She was the 2021 Conference USA Pitcher of the Year and a member of the 2022 WCWS All-Tournament Team.
