Select 30: Day 2 in Viera, Florida:
Today started off early with a little bit of rain, but not enough to kick us off the field. Since we couldn’t do testing yesterday we did it today.
We did things like broad jumps, shuttles, 1st base timing, medicine ball throws left and right hand, and last but not least, overhand velocity. One thing you have to remember during any testing or try out is being confident with yourself and your abilities. Everyone is good at different things and everyone has different strategies to make them most successful.
We did some classroom time today which was very motivating and interesting. Lauren Chamberlain was our speaker and she talked about making your brand and why that’s important.

Coaches always talk about if you want to get noticed on the field, you don’t just show your talent, you also show your personality, attitude, effort, coachability, confidence, and all these things that show who you are, not just as an athlete but as a whole person.
