FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State softball team, and head coach Jen Fisher, announced its 2024 schedule featuring 47 games, with 21 of those matchups taking place at Ram Field.
The Rams are coming off a 27-20 season in 2023 where they qualified for the Mountain West Tournament and with eight of nine starters returning in 2024, Colorado State will look to have another strong season in the Mountain West.
Colorado State will start its season February 9 at the Easton Classic in Fullerton, California where the Rams will face Pacific to kick off the 2024 campaign. They will also face host school Cal State Fullerton twice, Incarnate Word and Southern Utah. Colorado State’s second tournament of the season will take place at the University of San Diego from February 16-18 where the Rams will face Southern Utah again as well as Eastern Illinois, Long Island and San Diego at the Toreno Classic.
The Rams’ toughest tournament of the season will take place February 23-25 at the Texas Classic where Colorado State will face Stanford, Texas and Louisiana, who were all super regional teams in last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Rams will face Stanford and Texas twice, while seeing Louisiana once.
Beginning in March, the Rams will host two tournaments on back-to-back weekends with the Colorado Classic taking place March 1-3 and the Rams Invitational happening March 8-10. Over the two weekends, Colorado State will host Iowa State, Manhattan College, Maine, Drake and Idaho State.
March 16 marks the start of Mountain West play as the Rams travel to Las Vegas to play a two-game series with UNLV. The Rams will host four conference series against Nevada, New Mexico, San Jose State and Boise State.
Colorado State will continue with conference competition through May 4 where after the regular season the top six teams in the conference will travel to Boise, Idaho for the Mountain West Championship Tournament May 9-11.
The regional rounds of the NCAA Tournament begin May 17-19.
