All-American Kelly Maxwell Expected to Enter Transfer Portal

Oklahoma State pitcher Kelly Maxwell plans to enter the transfer portal, sources confirmed to Extra Inning Softball.

Maxwell, a two-time All-American, was named the Big 12 Co-Pitcher of the Year in 2022. She earned First Team All-Big 12 and All-Region honors in three consecutive seasons from 2021-23.

During her tenure in Stillwater, Maxwell posted a 1.58 ERA, a 58-20 overall record, and 746 strikeouts in 494.2 innings of work. She limited opponents to a .158 batting average against her and notched a strikeout/walk ratio of nearly 4/1.

A redshirt senior in 2023, Maxwell has one season of eligibility – her “super senior” year – remaining. She will be a graduate transfer, which allows her to enter the portal outside of the NCAA’s designated “window” for undergraduate transfers to enter.
