Grace Swedarsky’s talent on the mound and tenacity in high-pressure situations have brought her widespread recognition, including a MaxPreps All-American title, ranked #76 by Extra Inning Softball and a 2024 Indiana Class 4A state championship. As a right-handed pitcher for Hamilton Southeastern High School, Swedarsky made headlines by striking out an astonishing 270 batters last season, culminating in 13 critical strikeouts in the state championship game to help the Royals secure the title. Her journey to success has been fueled by an unwavering commitment to the sport and an extraordinary work ethic, traits that have propelled her to the top of her class.
Coach Jeff Goddard of Indiana Magic Gold – Bennett/Goddard says, “We are biased, but we think Grace—better known as ‘Swedes’—is one of, if not the best, pitcher in her class. After her 17th strikeout in one game, we even heard an opposing coach say, ‘I’ve got to find me a Swedes.’”
Swedarsky’s standout performances have brought her interest from numerous top programs across the Power Four conferences, with offers from schools around the nation before she ultimately committed to Virginia Tech.
