UCLA star Maya Brady has been named the Extra Inning Softball Player of the Week for her efforts during Week 1 of the Division 1 softball season.
Across six games, Brady batted .813 with four home runs and fourteen RBIs.
Brady’s stat line also included a 2.427 OPS, 13 runs scored, and two stolen bases. She recorded four multi-hit games and also earned five walks.
After going 0-2 in the season opener, Brady was a perfect 1-1 against Cal State Bakersfield with three walks. She scored three runs in the game and notched two RBIs. In four games to close the weekend, Brady recorded just one out, at one time going a perfect 10-10 at the plate across three consecutive games.
In the first game of a doubleheader against San Diego on Sunday, Brady was 4-4 at the plate with two home runs, four runs scored, and five RBIs. In the latter game of that twinbill, Brady was 2-3 at the plate, with a home run, three RBIs, and her ssecond stolen base of the weekend to her credit.
