The spring high school softball season has officially begun with virtually every state playing their high school seasons.
Throughout the spring softball season Extra Inning Softball will be recognizing the outstanding achievements of players from across the country.
Nominations for Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week can be submitted HERE.
Beginning on Feb. 14, 2024, Extra Inning Softball will be selecting a National High School Player of the Week every week through May 31, 2024. Nominations will be accepted through Monday each week and nominations should include relevant statistical information for games played during the previous week and photographs.

Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week
After an outstanding week, Kira Bailey has been selected as the Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week. Bailey plays for Gahanna Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio.
Bailey, Class of 2027, helped lead Gahanna Lincoln to a 5-3 record in eight games.
She batted .600 (12-for-20) over the course of the eight games and scored 11 runs. She also added nine stolen bases, drove in 11 runs and hit her first career over the fence home run.
Led by Bailey, Gahanna Lincoln currently leads the state of Ohio in stolen bases. Bailey also tops the state in stolen bases as she has 27 on the season.
Bailey, ranked 59th in the Class of 2027 Extra Elite 100, leads the Lions with a .569 batting average.
Other Top Performances:
Haiylee Reeves, Owyhee High School, Meridian, Idaho – Reeves belted a pair of home runs against Boise High School and finished the week with five RBIs. She currently is batting .522 and has 29 RBIs for the season.
Taylor Day, Paraclete High School, Lancaster, Calif. – Day turned in a brilliant performance against St. Paul. She went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs and a double in a 10-5 victory.
Katie King, Orange Beach High School, Orange Beach, Ala. – King helped lead Orange Beach to a 7-1 week as she batted .500 and went 11-for-22. She had two doubles, a home run, drove in 10 runs, scored nine runs and stole three bases for the Makos.
