The spring high school softball season has officially begun with several states, including Texas, beginning the 2024 season in February.
Throughout the spring softball season Extra Inning Softball will be recognizing the outstanding achievements of players from across the country.
Nominations for Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week can be submitted HERE.
Beginning on Feb. 14, 2024, Extra Inning Softball will be selecting a National High School Player of the Week every week through May 31, 2024. Nominations will be accepted through Monday each week and nominations should include relevant statistical information for games played during the previous week and include photographs.

Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week
After an outstanding week in the at the plate and in the circle, Hannah Wells has been selected as the Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week. Wells plays for Coahoma High School in Coahoma, Texas.
Wells, who has committed to the University of Texas, was 11-for-12 and batted .917 in five games. She reached base in 14 of 15 plate appearances, posted a .938 on-base percentage and helped the Bulldogettes to a 5-0 record.
Wells, who is ranked seventh in the 2025 Extra Elite 100 rankings, recorded six doubles, two home runs and drove in 12 runs to lead Coahoma High School. She belted a pair of home runs against Temple and also drove in three runs.
She also appeared in the circle and went 2-0 in three appearances. In 11 innings, she allowed no earned runs and struck out 15 batters.
Coahoma is the top-ranked team in the state of Texas in 3A and are the defending state champions.
