Oklahoma Adds Ex-Softballer, Veteran Administrator Leah Beasley as Executive Associate Athletic Director

Leah Beasley spent most of the past decade as an athletic department executive at Mississippi State and will now join the Oklahoma department.

Oklahoma is hiring Leah Beasley as Executive Associate Athletic Director, the school announced on Thursday.

Beasley spent the last near-decade on the upper-administrative staff at Mississippi State, most recently serving as the deputy athletic director for external affairs where she supervised a half-dozen pieces of the Bulldogs’ athletic department, including broadcast operations, communications and content/creative, digital and revenue innovation, fan experience/outbound ticket sales, marketing/fan engagement and sponsorship retention/activation.

In a statement, OU athletic director Joe Castiglione said, “Leah is a bright and dynamic administrator who will be an innovator in our department. Her background and skill will be a great complement to our leadership team. I am confident she will help us as we continue to strengthen our department and provide a world-class experience for our student-athletes and stakeholders. We look forward to welcoming her to the Sooner family very soon.”

A 2005 Louisiana Tech graduate, Beasley was part of the Louisiana Tech softball team for four years during her time in Ruston. Her first athletic administrative role was at her alma mater following the conclusion of her playing career.
