On the Clock: 2023 Extra Elite 100 Player Rankings Start 4 Weeks From Today (Monday, May 3, 2021)!

Reminder that time is ticking for submissions to be sent in for the updated 2023 Extra Elite 100 which will begin four weeks from today as part of the latest in our player rankings series.

Note: the next set of ratings after the 2023’s will be the 2024 Extra Elite 100 starting June 21, 2021.

The Class of 2023 extensive coverage begins Monday, May 3, 2021 and for the following three weeks will include:

• the 2023 Extra Elite 100 ranked prospects with bios and photos
• the players ranked #’s 101-500
• a spotlight on the top player in the class
• position rankings (pitchers, catchers, infielders, outfielders)

This follows the previous Extra Elite 100 rankings published over the last year for the Classes of 2021, ’22, ’23, ’24, ‘25 and ’26. The 2025 Extra Elite 100 rankings were the most recently published (March 2021).

The rankings are led by Brentt Eads, Extra Inning Softball’s President & Executive Editor, and the Extra Inning Softball staff with input from more than 250 college and club scouts and coaches.

Brentt, who originated the top 100 rankings lists used in softball, will now have ranked more than a decade of grad classes (2014 to 2026) and, with updates of each, will have done more than three dozen class rankings.

Or email us at [email protected] and send us the following (as applicable): player name, position(s), club team, school, home city/state, stats, honors, individual and team accomplishments, events attended such as camps, human interest insights (anything interesting, unusual or different) and a head shot (if available, a good action photo also).

The deadline to forward player info is 5 pm EST on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 to ensure athletes are considered before the lists are finalized.
