On the Clock: 2027 Extra Elite 100 Player Nominations Open… Deadline of March 20; Ratings Begin March 27!

The second version of the 2027 Extra Elite 100 rankings will begin on Monday, March 27, 2023 (five weeks from Monday, Feb. 20th–President’s Day 2023!) and the nomination deadline will finish on March 20.

The Class of 2027’s extensive three-weeks coverage will include:

• the 2027 Extra Elite 100 ranked prospects with bios and photos
• the players ranked #’s 101-500
• a spotlight on the top player in the class
• position rankings (pitchers, catchers, infielders, outfielders, etc.)

This follows the first-ever look at the 2028 Extra Elite 100 which finished on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023  with the Class of 2028 Position Rankings.

Note: the next set of ratings after the 2027’s will be the 2026 Extra Elite 100 class starting in April… also, you can see the complete rankings list for 2023 here: 

The rankings are led by Brentt Eads, Extra Inning Softball’s President & Executive Editor, and the Extra Inning Softball staff with input from more than 500 scouts and coaches.

Eads, who originated the top 100 rankings lists used in softball, has now ranked 15 grad classes (2014 to 2028) and, counting multiple updates of each, will have done more than 40 class rankings.
