Every parent wants the best for their athlete. Whether it's staying after practice for extra reps, traveling across the country for tournaments, or encouraging them to work a little harder, those efforts usually come from a place of love. But one of the biggest challenges in youth sports is knowing exactly how much is enough, and when it becomes too much.
That balance is the focus of this edition of the Extra Inning Softball Parent Hub, featuring Nehimiah Malaki of Waianae, Hawaii, a father, coach, and electrician whose daughter competes for Pride-Malaki under Coach Baba Malaki in the Class of 2033.
