
This week, one of the key club events is the Scenic Showcase which was preceded by the popular Scenic City Top 25 tournament.
The later event—including top national teams from organizations such as the Mojo, Fury, Top Gun, East Cobb Bullets, D1Vision and many others—faced off in in Dalton and Rocky Place, Georgia,
In what was described as a “very competitive weekend,” per one parent there, and the pitching and defense was strong on all fields.
Some great match-ups made up for a somewhat rainy, but still a successful tournament as many teams prepare for trips coming up to Boulder IDT or the Sparkler in Colorado next week.
College coaches were closely watching the action at the Top 25, too, including reps from programs ranging from the Universities of Tennessee and North Carolina to others including Appalachian State and College of Charleston who took notes behind the backstops of the next upcoming signing class—the 2025’s—along with future stars in the 2026 group.
The org that impressed the most?
You’d have to give it to the Fury as its older team, Fury Platinum X – Higdon, won the 18U age division and at 16U Fury Platinum X – Hutchinson won the title.
