Player Spotlight: Adelynn Rudge

Adelynn Rudge is using her platform on the softball field to pursue her dream of playing Division I softball, but she also is allowing the game to teach her about life.

“A team is not a group of people who work together. It is a group of people that trust each other.”

Rudge shared her favorite quote, which equates to being a team and pursuing a collective goal. She relishes her time with her teammates and thrives in the team-first attitude.

When asked to provide more information about her, she talked about her family. Always team first.

An outstanding student, Rudge plans on taking college credit courses when she enters high school next year.

What are some of your biggest accomplishments in the sport?
I was an Ohio Little League State Champion and went on to be a Regional Finalist. I am a USSSA Select 30 nominee, was ranked last year by Extra Inning Softball as the No. 30 player overall in the 2028 class and was the 13th-ranked catcher. I also was the tournament MVP, Home Run Derby Champion and was on the Championship winning team at the All-American Softball Games in Myrtle Beach in 2022.
