Pro News: Athletes Unlimited Adds Sami Fagan, Katiyana Mauga, Jazmyn Jackson & Michelle Moultrie

Athletes Unlimited, which announced its pro softball league in March, has signed four players with strong college and pro backgrounds.

Here’s more on the latest addition who will take the fields with the inaugural season set to begin Friday, August 21, 2020 at 6 pm CST on Rosemont Field in Chicago.

SAMI FAGAN | NO. 53
Position: Infield
College: Missouri
Background: Fagan is a two-time All-SEC Second-Team honoree (2015, 2016). She was selected fourth overall by the Akron Racers in the 2016 NPF Draft. She went on to win 2016 Rookie of the Year.

KATIYANA MAUGA | NO. 45
Position: Infield
College: Arizona
Background: While at Arizona, Mauga was a two-time All-American (2015, 2017) and the 2014 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. She was a volunteer assistant coach at Mississippi State in 2020.

JAZMYN JACKSON | No. 40
Position: Outfield
College: UC Berkeley
Background: At Cal Berkeley, Jackson was a three-time NFCA All-Pacific First Team outfielder.  She won gold with Team USA at the 2019 USA Softball International Cup.

MICHELLE MOULTRIE | No. 43
Position: Outfield
College: Florida, Team USA
Background: Moultrie was named Co-Most Outstanding Player of the 2011 Women’s College World Series. She will represent Team USA in softball’s return to the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
