Recruiting Spotlight: Speedy 2022 Outfielder Indiana Langford Going from Cali to Michigan to Play Softball!

Indiana Langford is a two-sport standout and used his track speed to be a top prospect in softball.

Indiana Langford is a senior middle infielder with legit 2.57 home-to-first speed.

How does a So Cal girl end up connecting with Michigan (and vice versa) in the recruiting process? In other words, how did they first discover you?
One of my high school coaches was Natalie Peters, who played softball at Michigan. Michigan had always been one of my favorite schools and we started talked about the school and the softball program. She got me in contact with the coaching staff and I just kept emailing and making contact. Then, I went to one of their camps and I guess I made an impression since now I’m committed there.

What was it about the Wolverines that won you over? Was it Hutch (Coach Carol Hutchins)? The school? The education? Big Ten? Anything else?
The thing that won me over is Michigan is one of the best schools that is competitive academically and athletically. The university is the top public school in the nation and their degrees will set me up for the future. Their softball program speaks for itself. They are making constant appearances in the tournament and always have a chance to go to the World Series, if not win it. And, of course, the atmosphere of Ann Arbor and the coaching staff was the icing on top.
