Scenic City Fall 2024: The Ultimate Fastpitch Experience
The 2024 Scenic City Fall event, set to take place from November 1st to November 3rd, 2024, in the vibrant city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, is one of the most anticipated events in the fastpitch softball calendar. As it enters its 17th year, Scenic City Fall continues to be a premier destination for elite club teams and college coaches alike, offering a unique blend of competitive play, scouting opportunities, and the charm of a top outdoor tourist destination. Event Details and Format
This year’s event will feature 14U, 16U, and 18U divisions, each showcasing some of the best young talent in the country. The format includes 5GG (5 Game Guarantee) or 7GG (7 Game Guarantee) pool games, ensuring plenty of action for both players and spectators. Notably, there will be no bracket play, allowing teams to focus on showcasing their skills across multiple games without the pressure of elimination.
Adding to the event’s prestige is the exclusive “Top 25” invite-only division, where the cream of the crop will compete in front of an array of college scouts and recruiters. This division is designed to highlight the highest level of play and provide unparalleled exposure for the athletes.
A Rich History
Scenic City Fall has grown significantly since its inception. Originally a 16U-only event, it expanded to include an 18U division as former participants aged out. Several years later, a 14U division was added, ensuring that the event caters to a wide range of age groups and skill levels. This growth mirrors the increasing popularity and competitive nature of fastpitch softball.
More Than Just a Tournament
Scenic City Fall has evolved into much more than just a softball tournament. It has become a comprehensive fastpitch experience, featuring college camps, all-star games, and the On Deck Camp. These additional events provide players with invaluable opportunities for development, exposure, and recruitment.
Partnerships with Athletes Go Live, NCSA, and Coach Packet have introduced a digital component to the event, enhancing the scouting and recruitment process. Last fall, over 400 college coaches attended the event, taking advantage of the easy access to the more than 60 fields located within a 25-minute driving radius. This proximity allows coaches to efficiently scout a large number of teams and players, making Scenic City Fall a prime recruiting ground.

Chattanooga’s status as one of the top outdoor tourist destination cities in the country adds an extra layer of appeal to Scenic City Fall.
