Starting on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 and running for three weeks, Extra Inning Softball will produce our initial set of unique rankings designed to honor the men and women who teach, train and develop young fastpitch softball players.
Yes, we will be publishin our first-ever Extra Elite 100 Coach Rankings!
COACH RANKINGS
Why do coach rankings?
The same reasons we do player ones: 1) to honor those who work so hard in the sport we love and 2) to create dialog and recognition for all the good these individuals do on the field and in community.
Here’s the upcoming schedule:
- Dec. 7: Extra Elite 100 High School Coach Rankings (deadline to submit: Fri. Dec.4 @ 5 pm EST)
- Dec. 14-Dec. 18: Extra Elite 100 Club Coach Rankings (deadline to submit: Fri. Dec. 11)
- Dec. 21-Dec. 25: Extra Elite 100 College Coach Rankings (deadline to submit: Fri. Dec. 18)
When honoring these coaches—who can be head coaches or assistants—we’ll look at their overall resumes including on-field accomplishments (record, championships/top finishes, longevity, etc.) as well as off-field impact (player development, presence in the community, passion and contributions to the sport).
We will be taking nominations under consideration as well as using our Extra Inning Softball team’s research.
