Former Indiana infielder Taryn Kern is transferring to Stanford.
Prior to her commitment on Tuesday, Kern was the top position player remaining in the portal.
During her freshman season in 2023, Kern batted .404. Her statistics during her rookie campaign included 23 home runs, 13 doubles, 68 RBIs, and 68 runs scored. She posted a 1.520 OPS.
Following the season, Kern was a top-3 finalist for NFCA National Freshman of the Year; earned both the Big Ten Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards; and was named a Second Team All-American.
