The TC OKC softball tournament is set to return to Oklahoma City May 29–June 1, 2026, bringing together hundreds of teams from across the United States and beyond for one of the most unique early-summer fastpitch events in the country.
Hosted by Triple Crown Sports, the tournament has grown into a highly anticipated kickoff to the travel ball season, combining high-level competition with the unforgettable experience of the Women’s College World Series (WCWS).
At Extra Inning Softball, we continue to spotlight the tournaments that create meaningful opportunities for athletes to compete on a national stage. Few events blend elite youth softball with the excitement of the sport’s biggest collegiate championship quite like TC OKC.
Now entering its 18th year, the event consistently draws teams from 20 or more states, as well as international programs that travel to Oklahoma City to compete while experiencing the energy surrounding the WCWS. For more national tournament coverage, visit our Tournament page!

A Premier Summer Kickoff Event
For many teams, the TC OKC softball tournament marks the beginning of their summer travel season. Programs from across the country make the trip to Oklahoma City not only to compete against diverse competition but also to immerse their athletes in one of softball’s most iconic destinations.
The tournament features divisions ranging from 10U through 18U, allowing younger players and older recruiting-age athletes alike to experience a national-level event.
According to Event Director Sarah Pow, the tournament’s connection to the Women’s College World Series makes it especially memorable for players.
Teams often build their schedules around WCWS matchups, giving athletes the chance to watch the best collegiate softball players in the world while competing in their own tournament.

Unique Experience in Oklahoma City
What sets TC OKC apart from many travel ball tournaments is the atmosphere created by hosting the event during the Women’s College World Series, held annually in Oklahoma City.
Throughout the weekend, players and families can attend WCWS games at Devon Park, creating a rare opportunity for young athletes to see the sport’s biggest stage up close.
The tournament schedule is specifically designed so teams can attend WCWS matchups without missing their own games, giving participants the best of both worlds.
This combination of competition and inspiration has made the event a favorite for many teams returning year after year.
National and International Competition
The scale of the TC OKC tournament is another reason it continues to grow.
Each year, teams travel from more than 20 states, and in past seasons the tournament has welcomed programs from Canada and Mexico, adding an international element to the competition.
The variety of teams and regions represented creates a dynamic environment where players face opponents they may not otherwise encounter during the season.
For many teams, it’s an opportunity to measure themselves against unfamiliar competition and grow as a program early in the summer.

Divisions Designed for Competitive Balance
Triple Crown Sports has structured the tournament to provide multiple levels of competition, ensuring teams can find the right fit for their roster and experience level.
In particular, the 12U and 14U divisions are separated into A and B divisions, allowing more teams to travel to Oklahoma City and still enjoy competitive, balanced games.
This format ensures that teams at different stages of development can maximize their experience while still enjoying the atmosphere surrounding the Women’s College World Series.

Player Party Tradition
Another highlight of the event is the Player Party, a popular tradition that has taken place for the past several years.
The event often includes professional softball players participating in autograph sessions, giving young athletes the chance to meet role models who have reached the highest levels of the sport.
Organizers are currently working to finalize the lineup of athletes who will attend the 2026 Player Party, continuing a tradition that has been a fan favorite for the past five years.
