Team NC Walker’s Kaylee Kurk and Riley Walker earn USA Softball National Selection Event invitations

Joe Walker speaks of his Team North Carolina squad with great joy. And why not?

“We are deep all the way around,” said Walker. “We have athletes all over the field. We are an athletic, big powerful team.”

Team NC won 50 games in their first season as a 14U team with North Carolina girls in the graduating classes of 2028 and 2029.

A testament to their strength is a pair of 2029 athletes recently being selected to the HPP National Selection Event in December in Florida that will identify top players in several age groups that could eventually play for Team USA in international events.

Earning the prestigious selections are 2029 catcher/corner infielder Riley Walker and 2029 shortstop/catcher Kaylee Kurk.
