Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them?
I have played for Coach Steve Walling since the fall of 2019 (when) we were Athletics Mercado-Walling and in 2022 our team moved over to Lady Magic, which is a great organization as well. We have a great a team with lots of talent and we love to compete with the best teams in the country.

Can you talk about your experiences at Granada High and how you’ve done there?
I’ve done really well academically. I’ve had a 3.8 GPA the last two trimesters and I am shooting for a 4.0 this trimester.
I really enjoy Leadership and am currently in the Recognition Committee. I also plan on running for Sophomore Class President for the 2022-2023 school year. I am a part of Younglife where we play games and learn about faith.

What are some of your training methods and drills?
When I’m not with either of my teams, I work out with my mom at Anywhere Warrior. It is a local gym in town that does a little bit of everything from kickboxing to weightlifting to HIT training and even weekend hikes.
I also do BP (batting practice) and fielding with my dad and little brother, Nico. We’ll normally go to a nearby field and set up and take about 100-200 swings of BP and do a bunch of fielding.
During the high school season we have weight room training and we practice every day.
