Georgia Impact 2023-Lunsford won the USA Softball 14U Nationals title earlier this month and beginning this fall 10 of the 12 players from that squad will be joining Coach Mike Lunsford’s newly-formed Mojo 2023-Lunsford team.
“The organizational realignment was a move to put our players more in an environment geared towards their futures,” Lunsford said. “From our experience playing against and participating in the Mojo Showcase event this summer, we felt we were more aligned with how (Mojo organization founder) Brooks Cherry and Michael Danley ran things with it being all about the players. (There’s) not many organizations out there where you can collaborate with Coaches like Brooks, Michael, Josh Fisher and Jay Ross with seven national championships between them. I expect we should be able to absorb some softball knowledge.
“Another plus is being the only 05/2023 team in the metro Atlanta are to carry the Mojo brand. We’re bringing back 10 of the 12 players from the national championship team.”
In addition to the 10 returners, Mojo 2023-Lunsford added some serious firepower on offense and in the outfield with Sam Minish, #31 in the 2024 Extra Elite 100 and the #10 outfielder in the Class of 2024. Mojo 2023-Lunsford, which won USA Softball 12U Nationals in 2018 and placed third at PGF Platinum 14U Nationals in 2019, is also set to host some of the top talent in the Southeast on Aug. 29 for tryouts.
Here’s how the Mojo 2023-Lunsford roster looks right now:
- #1 Cameron Wade, 2023, SS/2B, #78 in the 2023 Extra Elite 100
- #2 Addie Campbell, 2023, OF, #189 in the Class of 2023
- #4 Kennedy Harp, 2023, OF, #23 in the 2023 Extra Elite 100
- #5 Macy Langley, 2023, P/1B, #94 in the 2023 Extra Elite 100
- #8 Ava Lunsford, 2023, P/1B, #66 in the 2023 Extra Elite 100
- #12 Jenna Krol, 2024, OF, #44 in the 2024 Extra Elite 100
- #15 Sam Minish, 2024, OF, #31 in the 2024 Extra Elite 100
- #26 Maci Masters, 2023, 3B, #99 in the 2023 Extra Elite 100
- #28 Brooklin Lippert, 2024, SS/2B, #38 in the 2024 Extra Elite 100
- #32 Olivia Rogozinski, 2023, C
- #50 Mak Levine, 2023, C, #159 in the Class of 2023
