NO SIS BATES AT MARY NUTTER CLASSIC

All-American SS Sis Bates, the two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, was held out of the lineup for the first time in her Washington career last Thursday when the Huskies faced Alabama. Bates hit her head while diving to make a defensive play up the middle against Central Florida the day before. Bates’ concussion symptoms didn’t begin to show until the morning of the Alabama game.

“Of course without Sis, the team dynamic changed,” Head coach Heather Tarr told The Daily of the University of Washington. “So for the team, having to adapt to that, it’s just different.”

Bates remains in concussion protocol and will not be available this weekend at the Mary Nutter Classic. TLI wishes for a speedy recovery for Sis. Until then here’s some nifty glove work by Sis.
