Rising 2028 Catchers Making Early Impact
In softball, catchers don’t just receive—they lead. And for the Class of 2028, these rising stars are proving they have the tools, toughness, and tenacity to own the field from behind the dish. With national rankings returning soon and nominations opening August 1, Extra Inning Softball is spotlighting a handful of catchers who have already caught our attention.
From commanding dugout leadership to game-changing pop times and clutch bats, these young athletes are already building standout resumes. Their efforts are being noticed—not only by their teams and local fans—but by college coaches and the softball community at large.
As always, our team at Extra Inning Softball keeps tabs on emerging talent across every region through coach updates, nomination forms, stat tracking, and community feedback. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the 2028 catchers who are standing out as we approach the next nomination window.
Nominate Your Class of 2028 Catcher
These athletes represent just a fraction of the talent emerging from the Class of 2028—but they set the tone. Whether commanding their defense, showing up in clutch moments, or adjusting with maturity beyond their years, they’re proving why the catcher position remains one of the most demanding—and essential—in the game.
This list is just the beginning—and we need your help to make sure no standout gets left off. Coaches, if you have a 2028 pitcher who’s making an impact, we’d love for you to submit a nomination starting August 1.
Parents are also welcome to nominate, especially if coaches are busy during the travel season. However, we kindly ask that you check in with your coach first to ensure accuracy and team support.
