The countdown is officially underway. With nominations for the Extra Inning Softball Class of 2028 Rankings closing October 5, 2026, athletes across the country are entering the final days to secure their place in the evaluation process.
Each week, Watchlist Wednesday introduces five athletes who have received an official nomination. The series provides the softball community with an early look at their achievements, skills and competitive experiences before the rankings process begins.
Appearing in Watchlist Wednesday does not represent an evaluation or indicate where an athlete will ultimately be ranked. Instead, it recognizes players who have taken the essential first step by receiving an official nomination.
This week, five more Class of 2028 athletes enter the spotlight. ⬇️✨

More Opportunities for Every Nominee
The Class of 2028 rankings cycle includes expanded recognition for nominated athletes.
Every officially nominated athlete will receive a Regional Ranking and a Hitters Ranking. Each nominee will also be evaluated for potential placement in the National Rankings.
These updates provide multiple opportunities for athletes to be recognized for their performance, position-specific ability and overall impact.
Committed and uncommitted athletes are encouraged to participate. Rankings remain part of an athlete’s permanent softball history, and college coaches, media outlets and members of the softball community frequently reference previous rankings and recognition.
The nomination window closes October 5, and late submissions will not be accepted.

One Nomination Is All It Takes
Athletes must receive an official nomination to enter the rankings process. Parents, coaches and organization leaders may submit, but only one nomination per athlete is needed.
After nominations close, the Rankings Committee applies the SERV™ Methodology: Software organizes the data, Evaluate reviews performance and ability, Research examines each athlete’s body of work, and Verify confirms the information before rankings are finalized.
