Skyler Ball: A New Era in Digital Content

Ball’s foundation in softball was built through firsthand competition at the highest level. A former Division I softball player at Southern Utah University, where she competed at the collegiate level while balancing academic and leadership responsibilities. Through that experience, Ball gained a clear understanding of the sport’s demands, culture, and competitive rhythm that now shapes her storytelling with credibility and precision.

Academic Edge

Ball’s academic credentials further distinguish her role on the team. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Media Studies emphasis) and her Master of Arts in Professional Communication from Southern Utah University. Her graduate-level training focused on audience engagement, strategic messaging, and professional storytelling skills translate directly into high-performing digital content.

This combination of academic rigor and real-world athletic experience allows Ball to bridge storytelling with strategy, ensuring that content resonates not only emotionally, but also performs across digital platforms.

She held multiple roles with Caesars Entertainment, in their Direct Mail and Advertising Agency departments. Ball’s content experience extends well beyond traditional marketing.

Notably, her work with professional softball and national sports organizations reinforces her ability to operate in high-visibility environments while maintaining storytelling integrity. This breadth of experience positions her to contribute immediately across Extra Inning Softball’s features, spotlights, social platforms, and long-form editorial coverage.

Coaching Perspective

Adding further depth to her profile, Ball has transitioned into coaching travel softball, broadening her understanding of player development, mentorship, and the youth-to-college pipeline.
