She was in the top two in most every offensive category including batting average, on-base percentage and stolen bases. Shorty is also as sure-handed of infielder as I’ve coached with a tremendous release. She is one of our team leaders, has an awesome work ethic and is a big-time competitor. Shorty has hit in the lead-off spot since I’ve been coaching her. She is without any doubt one of the best players in the country in the 2022 class. She’s as good as it gets.” – Head Coach Josh Fisher, Tennessee Mojo 04
The nickname “Shorty,” when did you first get it and is it something you are fond of now?
I’ve had the nickname Shorty since I was eight-years-old being that I played up with older girls and, as I was small growing up, they towered over me. I’ve become fond of the nickname—it’s more normal to hear Shorty than it is Jaydyn for me, especially at softball events.
