32 Must-Attend Tournaments Confirmed—Don’t Get Left Off the Leaderboard

On April 19, Extra Inning Softball introduced its Free Athlete Tournament Performance Rankings, a new initiative designed to evaluate and spotlight athletes based on their performance within specific tournament environments.

Since that launch, the response has been immediate.

A total of 32 events are now confirmed nationwide, with three additional tournament directors currently in active discussions to participate. Explore more participating tournaments now.

Current participating states include Utah, Idaho, Ohio, Hawaii, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Massachusetts, and Nevada, with additional conversations underway with tournament directors in Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas.

What Are Tournament Performance Rankings?

Tournament Performance Rankings are a specialized, event-based ranking system that evaluates athletes based on how they perform during a specific tournament.

This includes:

• Performance during pool and bracket play
• Verified offensive and defensive statistics
• Team bracket tier & win/loss record
• Analysis through proprietary software
• Review from the Extra Inning Softball Rankings Committee

The result is a performance-driven ranking that reflects how athletes compete when it matters most.

How It Works

The process is streamlined for efficiency: parents scan a QR code after the event to submit stats and player information, Extra Inning Softball reviews each submission, rankings are finalized through committee evaluation, and families are notified once results are published on the leaderboard.

The current tournament landscape is crowded. Families are navigating dozens of events, often trying to determine which ones will actually provide meaningful recruiting exposure.
