Addison Gorton Battles JDM, Returns to Softball
Addison Gorton, a 2027 right-handed pitcher and outfielder for Oklahoma Athletics-Bezdicek 09 and Drummond High School (OK), has always loved the game. After months of unexplained symptoms and countless medical visits, Gorton was diagnosed with juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM)—a rare autoimmune disease that impacts skin and muscle strength.
This is her story of resilience, determination, and the unwavering desire to play the sport she loves.
