2026 Ava Giacometti: Extra Impact Ambassador Advocating for Mental Health
As part of our Ambassador Program, each participant was encouraged to write an article to be featured on our website. Throughout the program, we focused on our core values: empowering, inspiring, and supporting the softball community. To embody this mission, the ambassadors were tasked with selecting an advocacy topic they felt passionate about. They were encouraged to dive deep into their chosen subject by interviewing experts, conducting research, and speaking with softball players to gain valuable insights.
For example, Ava Giacometti chose to focus on mental health, a critical and often overlooked aspect of an athlete’s well-being, bringing light to an important topic within the sports community. This project allowed the ambassadors to raise awareness, spark meaningful conversations, and discover ways to support individuals within their chosen areas of focus—showcasing their dedication to making a positive impact in the softball world.
