Breaking News: 2025 Extra Elite 100 Player Rankings Starting 1 Week from Today (March 8, 2021!)… for a VERY good reason!

Well, this is a first!

If you were expecting to see the launch of  the 2025 Extra Elite 100 rankings today, you’ll have to wait a wee bit longer… like a week from today (March 8, 2021).

This is the first time in my doing nearly three dozen class rankings (2014 through 2026 grades with multiple updates) that I’ve ever announced a date and had to push it back for ANY reason… but I believe you’ll agree the delay is a good thing because…

… the nomination process has EXPLODED and we have more great candidates than ever before to evaluate!

There has been such amazing input from all across the softball world that we have over 1,000 pages of player notes to sort through containing more than a quarter million words!

Proof? Here’s the bottom of our Word doc storing all the info of our entries and submission:

That’s right: we still are in the process of going through all the great data and recommendations so, to make sure every player is considered and evaluated properly, we’re going to take some another week to give each player her due.

The Class of 2025 extensive coverage begins Monday, March 8, 2021 and for the following three weeks will include:

• the 2025 Extra Elite 100 ranked prospects with bios and photos,
• the players ranked #’s 101-500,
• a spotlight on the top player in the class,
• position rankings (pitchers, catchers, infielders, outfielders)

The rankings are compiled by our staff with input from more than 200 college and club scouts and coaches.This will be the second time that players in the 2025 class will have been evaluated and ranked and follows our January publishing of the 2026 Extra Elite 100.

If you would like to submit a player to be nominated, Click HERE to fill out our online form.

Or email us at [email protected] and send us the following (as applicable): player name, position(s), club team, school, home city/state, stats, honors, individual and team accomplishments, events attended such as camps, human interest insights (anything interesting, unusual or different) and a head shot (if available, a good action photo also).

The deadline to forward player info is 5 pm EST on Wednesday, Mar. 3, 2021 to ensure athletes are considered before the lists are finalized.
