The final placement has been announced, the nation’s No. 1 athlete has been revealed and the inaugural Class of 2030 rankings are officially complete.

Extra Inning Softball recognized athletes through regional position rankings, three national tiers, regional hitters rankings and four national hitting categories before concluding the rollout with the prestigious Extra Elite 100 Overall Athletes.

The Class of 2030 Rankings Recap

The Class of 2030 rankings began by recognizing athletes from the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, Mountain and West at Pitcher, Catcher, Middle Infielder, Corner and Outfielder.

The national countdown followed with the Extra Prospect (No. 201–300), Extra Select (No. 101–200) and Extra Elite 100 (No. 1–100), honoring 300 athletes who advanced through the evaluation process.

The spotlight then returned to all six regions for dedicated hitters rankings before moving to the national Extra Elite 100 Sluggers, Slappers, Pure Hitters and Pitcher/Hitter Duos. Each category highlighted a different form of offensive impact, from power and run production to speed, bat control, consistency and two-way ability.

The rollout concluded with the Extra Elite 100 Overall Athletes, the highest individual recognition in the rankings, revealing the class’s top players across every position and the nation’s No. 1-ranked Class of 2030 athlete. With no ties in the Extra Inning Softball rankings, every recognized athlete earned her own distinct placement.

Every Placement Powered by SERV™

The complete Class of 2030 rankings were developed through Extra Inning Softball’s SERV™ Methodology: (S) software, (E) evaluation, (R) research and (V) verification.

Throughout the process, the Rankings Committee considered verified information, performance, competition level, athleticism, position-specific ability, offensive and defensive impact, development and complete body of work.

The rankings were not built around name recognition or a single statistic. Each placement reflected a detailed evaluation designed to consider the full picture of the athlete.

With no ties in the rankings, every recognized player earned her own individual position.
