For the second December in a row, Extra Inning Softball will pay tribute to those outstanding coaches in the softball world in the areas of college, high school and club play in our Extra Elite 100 Coach Rankings!.
Starting on Dec. 13, 2021 and running for three weeks, we will produce a unique set of ratings designed to recognize the men and women who teach, train and develop these talented young athletes.
Coach Rankings
Why do coach rankings?
The same reasons we do player ones: 1) to honor those who work so hard in the sport we love and 2) to create dialog and recognition for all the good these individuals do in the fastpitch community.
Here’s the upcoming schedule:
- Dec. 13-Dec. 17: Extra Elite 100 College Coach Rankings (deadline to submit: Fri. Dec. 10 @ 5 pm EST)
- Dec. 20-Dec. 24: Extra Elite 100 High School Coach Rankings (deadline to submit: Fri. Dec. 17 @ 5 pm EST)
- Dec. 27-Dec. 31: Extra Elite 100 Club Coach Rankings (deadline to submit: Fri. Dec. 24 @ 5 pm EST)
When honoring these coaches—who can be head coaches or assistants—we’ll look at their overall resumes including on-field accomplishments (record, championships/top finishes, longevity, etc.) as well as off-field impact (player development, presence in the community, contributions to the sport).
We will be taking nominations under consideration as well as using our Extra Inning Softball team’s research.
