North Florida Ospreys

After barely squeaking their way into the ASun tournament, the Ospreys came out on top of a pitcher’s duel with the hosting #3-seeded Florida Gulf Coast Eagles.

After weather pushed their matchup up in the day, the Ospreys took advantage of a pair of errors by FGCU in the sixth inning, scoring twice to take their first lead of the day, one that they would not relinquish.

Sydney Matzko threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit, 2-run ball, walking just one and striking out four. She was pulled with two outs in the seventh inning and Morgan Blourne recorded the quick save.
