College Spotlight: Four Division 1 Schools That Have Made an Impact in the Transfer Portal

Teams like the Oklahoma State Cowgirls and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns have become famous for their use of transfers over the last few years.

It’s hard to forget the impact of Samantha Show in her one season as a Cowgirl or when the Cajuns fielded a batting order that consisted entirely of players acquired via transfer.

The transfer portal has been a popular place this summer; the numbers and statistics are well-documented at this juncture. More than 1,000 players have entered their names into the portal this calendar year with more than 70% of those players doing so since the end of the regular season.

While the offseason is not completely over – even with the fall semester beginning at many schools across the country – here are are four teams that have made their mark in the transfer market this summer…
