The landscape of youth fastpitch softball continues to evolve—and a new partnership is set to raise the standard across the Mountain region.

Extra Inning Softball has officially joined forces with D1 Prospects, led by owner Shawna Weaver, to enhance the tournament experience at 19 events scheduled for this year.

This collaboration introduces a powerful combination of national exposure, verified performance data, and recruiting-driven visibility for athletes competing in D1 Prospects events. View the schedule below.

Leadership Driving the Vision

This collaboration is backed by leadership that understands both the competitive and developmental sides of the game.

Under Weaver’s direction, D1 Prospects has prioritized creating high-quality environments for athletes to compete and grow. Partnering with Extra Inning Softball aligns that mission with a national platform built specifically for exposure and rankings.

The result is a unified approach—one that blends tournament operations with media, data, and recruiting visibility.

2026 D1 Prospects Event Schedule: Extra Inning Softball will evaluate player performance rankings across these select tournaments.
How It Works

The process is simple and designed for speed and accessibility. After the event, parents scan the designated QR code (see below) or click HERE to submit their player’s game stats within three days.

Once submitted, Extra Inning Softball handles the full evaluation process—reviewing performance data, validating impact, and placing athletes into Tournament Performance Rankings.

This streamlined system ensures that every eligible athlete has a clear, efficient pathway to be seen, evaluated, and recognized on a national platform.

Elevating the Tournament Experience

D1 Prospects has built a strong reputation for hosting competitive, well-organized events throughout the Mountain region. By aligning with Extra Inning Softball, those events now gain an added layer of national recognition.

Athletes participating in these 19 tournaments will have access to Tournament Performance Rankings, a system that evaluates players based on in-game performance, impact, and consistency across both pool and bracket play.

This initiative creates a structured pathway for athletes to be seen—not just locally, but nationally.

In addition, Extra Inning Softball coverage will spotlight winning teams while also highlighting ranked players and high-ranked performers—creating another powerful layer of visibility for athletes who stand out.

This approach ensures that success is recognized from both a team and individual perspective, giving players multiple pathways to gain exposure.

Tournaments are no longer just about wins and losses; they are becoming data-driven evaluation environments where every at-bat, defensive play, and inning pitched contributes to a player’s recruiting profile.

A New Level of Exposure

For players in the Mountain region, this partnership addresses a long-standing gap in visibility.

Historically, athletes in this region have had fewer opportunities for consistent national exposure compared to other parts of the country.

By integrating Extra Inning Softball’s platform—known for its rankings, leaderboards, and editorial coverage—D1 Prospects events now serve as a direct pipeline to college recruiting attention.

All tournament performance rankings results will be posted on our EIS Leaderboard.

What This Means for Athletes

For athletes attending D1 Prospects tournaments, the implications are significant. This partnership delivers increased visibility through national leaderboards, along with verified performance data tied directly to real competition.

It also expands recruiting opportunities for athletes while creating a measurable way for athletes to stand out within large tournament fields.

Beyond exposure, it reinforces accountability. Players are no longer just competing—they are being evaluated within a national framework that rewards consistency and impact.

For parents and coaches, it brings much-needed clarity. Rather than guessing how a player compares, there is now a system that provides tangible, data-driven insight. We look forward to evaluating athltes attending D1 Prospects events this year!
