Why Is DeSoto Central Elite?
DeSoto Central High School Softball has become one of the most respected programs in Mississippi since its inception in 2001. With a rich history, this team has consistently proven itself to be among the best in the state. Most notably, the DC Lady Jaguars have secured 16 district championship titles, 4 North-State appearances, and 2 North-State championship titles, including back-to-back 6A state championships in 2018 and 2019. The success of this program is a result of hard work, discipline, and a commitment to excellence. Head Coach Harley Bumpous continues to build on the foundation of past success, with a focus on improving each player’s skills both on and off the field.
