Many of the top teams in the nation converged on Norman, OK, for the Top Club Nationals Wednesday-Saturday. Here are some of Friday’s highlights (All rankings Extra Elite Eighty Club Rankings):
In 18U games:
#8 OC Batbusters-Stith took down two of the top teams in Texas, beating #9 Hotshots National-Nelson, 3-1, and #5 Texas Bombers Gold-Smith, 6-1, to win the 18U Top Club Nationals on Satirday in Norman, OK.
Arizona-committed 2023 P Ryan Maddox threw a five-hitter with two walks and four strikeouts to get the win for Batbusters-Stith against Hotshots-Nelson.
Utah-bound 2B Karlie Davison went 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs, 2025 CF Kai Minor went 1 for 3 with an RBI, Arizona-committed 2023 MIF/OF Regan Shockey drove in a run, Oklahoma-committed 2023 LF Ella Parker went 1 for 3 with an RBI, UCLA-bound C Alexis Ramirez went 2 for 3, BYU-bound SS Ailana Agbayani went 1 for 3 with a run and an RBI, Boise State-bound 3B Hollie Farmer went 1 for 3 with a run, Utah-bound RF Abby Dayton scored a run and Central Florida-committed 2023 MIF Samantha Rey scored a run to help Batbusters-Stith avenge its loss to Bombers-Smith with a 6-1 victory in the championship game.
OC Batbusters-Stith went 10-2 for the tournament, beating #23 Impact Gold-Jackson, 9-7, Hotshots Premier Alabama, 14-1, Bombers Gold National, 9-2, losing to #5 Texas Bombers Gold-Smith, 9-7, and beating #10 Bombers Gold-Lewis, 9-1, Bombers Gold-Lewis, 5-4, #9 Hotshots National-Nelson, 3-1, and Texas Bombers Gold-Smith, 6-1, in bracket play.
In 16U games:
Hotshots National-Jones defeated #26 Iowa Premier National-Lacina, 4-1, in the semifinals and Texas Glory Naudin, 5-1, in the championship game to capture the 16U title at the Top Club Nationals.
Sam Houston State-committed 2023 P/1B Amy Abke pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts in seven innings and 2024 UT/SS/2B Sa’Mya Jones drove in Purdue-committed 2023 OF Moriah Polar and Texas A&M-committed 2023 OF Hailey Golden in Hotshots National-Nelson’s 4-1 semifinal victory over Iowa Premier National-Lacina.
Hotshots National Jones went 10-0 on the week and beat Oklahoma Athletics Platinum 06-McFadden, 10-0, Vision NTX, 6-2, #31 Hotshots Premier-Esparza, 4-0, #46 Iowa Premier National-Dickei, 5-3, Texas Glory Naudin 2024, 4-0, #26 Iowa Premier National-Lacina, 4-1, and Texas Glory Naudin, 6-1, in bracket play.
“Honestly, this team is more of a team with respect to contributions to success than any I think I’ve coached in my 21 years of softball coaching,” Hotshots coach Steve Jones said. “Other than my pitching staff — which all three were just downright wonderful all week defensively and offensively, contributions came from everyone. Obviously, I have a few players may produce more consistently but this National title was truly earned (by) THE ENTIRE squad.”
In 14U games:
#27 Texas Glory 2K26 rallied to beat #68 Hotshots National 2025-Tyson, 8-7, in the semifinals.
2025 P/MIF/OF Timber Hensley was the bulldog in the circle for Texas Glory Naudin pitching the final three bracket games.
Texas Glory Naudin had players from its entire lineup step up throughout the tournament. 2025 C/UT Claire Schreiner had a three-run triple and 2026 OF/UT Lilly Rulison had a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh as Texas Glory Naudin rallied to a 6-5 victory over #23 Virginia Unity-Meadows/Spinogatti in the Final Four.
#27 Texas Glory 2K26 and Texas Glory Naudin decided not to play the title game and share the Top Club Nationals championship.
2027 UT Lillie Gaudio batted .519 with 16 hits and doubles, 2026 P/OF Avery Howerton hit .472 with 12 hits, four doubles and three triples, 2027 MIF/OF/UT Finlee Williams hit .444 with 12 hits and four doubles and 2026 P/SS Madi Doty pitched three complete games with a 2.40 ERA, 24 strikeouts and two walks for Texas Glory 2K26.
In 12U games:
Hotshots National 09 defeated Oklahoma Athletics 09 Premier-Madden/Ashbaugh, 9-3, in the semifinals and Aces National, 6-5, in the championship to win the Top Gun Nationals 12U title.
2027 MIF/OF Maliyah Harrison batted .833 with two runs and two stolen bases, 2027 C/1B/3B Maci Nowak batted .600, 2027 P/UT Taegan Lermann hit .400 with two runs and three RBIs, 2027 OF/3B Skylar Knight batted .500 with two runs and two RBIs, 2027 P/1B/OF Hadley Lebow was 1-0 with two strikeouts in six innings and 2027 P Bella Pierce had eight strikeouts in nine innings in the championship game for Hotshots National 09.
