This month, after many years of honoring players as part of our Extra Elite 100 player series, we’re privileged to honor those men and women who help the athletes live their dreams: the coaches!
Why are we featuring coach rankings? The same reasons we do player ones:
- to honor those who work so hard in the sport, and
- to create dialog and recognition for all the good these individuals do on the field and in community.

This week we’re spotlighting the Extra Elite 100 High School Coaches and here’s the schedule (click on day to see past rankings):
- Monday, December 20: #50-41
- Tuesday, December 21: #40-31
- Wednesday, December 22: #30-21
- Thursday, December 23: #20-11
- Friday, December 24: #10-1
- Saturday, December 25: #51-100
The criteria we’re looking at starts with these all being active coaches, still in the dugouts and on the fields.
We’re also weighing overall resumes including on-field accomplishments (record, championships/top finishes, longevity, etc.) as well as off-field impact (player development, presence in the community, passion and contributions to the sport).
