National Club Player of the Week:
IF Madison Conley (Epic Premier 16U)

* On Saturday, we tabbed Madison Conley, the 2023 3B/SS for Tony Smith’s Epic 04 Premier team, as the Player of the Day after she put up huge numbers at Colorado Sparkler.
She ended up the weekend going 15-for-22 (.682) with video-game like numbers including 11 home runs—two of them grand slams—13 runs scored, 24 RBIs, two walks and all of this was done in six games, per Coach Smith.
“Madison is a player who excels on and off the field,” Coach Smith told us this week after his player’s standout week wrapped up. “She has been playing competitive ball since she was 5 years old and her dream is to play at the highest level and compete in the Women’s College World Series.”
Madison, who has a 4.0 GPA, was selected as the TriCounty Prep 4A Softball Player of the Year this past year but in a way that makes her fastpitch accomplishments stand out even more.
Her high school, Dale (Oklahoma) High, plays slow pitch softball and was the State Champs as Madison set a school record with 66 home runs and 136 RBIs in a single season.
Fast, slow or in-between, those are impressive stats just as her numbers at Sparkler were this week.
Runners-Up / National Club Player of the Week

* Kaylie Avvistato, a 2024 leadoff hitter for Virginia Glory National – Willemssen, had an impressive performance at the TCS Fireworks 16U Power Pool as she hit .609 from the leadoff spot with a .654 on-base percentage, a 1.217 slugging percentage and a 1.871 OPS.
Kayie hit four home runs and had two doubles and had a hit in every game and most games had multiple hits against top pitching. Her first at-bat of the tournament was a home runs against Impact Gold National Rodriquez and she had an opening game home run versus Finesse Dreher/Lesko also.
The shortstop played in the 16U All-Star Futures game and out of the 60 players selected, was the only 2024 who made the game. She even made an ESPN highlight reel defensive play at short throwing out a player from very deep in the hole.
Said one coach following the team, “Kaylie’s performance solidified her as a Power 5 top prospect.”
* Hannah Harvey, a 2023 MIF for Impact Gold National 16U Rodriguez out of Fate, Texas, batted .526 in the Colorado Sparkler Power Pool going 10-for-19 with five home runs, eight RBIs, a .571 on-base percentage and a stellar 2.045 OPS.
On the season Hannah is hitting .457 with 10 homers, 28 RBIs and has a .529 on-base percentage.
* Karley Shelton of Lady Lightning Gold Maguire/Corn 16U hit .500 (19-for-38) in Colorado with only one strikeout while hitting eight home runs and driving in 26 RBIs.
The MIF/P was ranked #14 in last year’s 2024 Extra Elite 100 rankings.

* The Athletics Mercado Greg/Tidd team won the Boulder 16U age division played at Longmont, Colorado going 9-0 for the week and several players stepped up to help take home the trophy.
Two who had particularly strong performances were:
- 2023 IF Alyssa “Lou” Hovermale, who had six home runs with 22 RBIs while hitting .478 for the tournament. Perhaps her biggest moment was a two-run walk-off homer against the Birmingham T-Bolts in the quarterfinals.
- 2022 1B Zoe Karam, who is heading to Boise State, slugged 10 home runs with 20 RBIs while batting .429. According to Coach Greg Borzilleri: “Zoe has been on first recently, having a huge hitting streak that has included her hitting seven home runs during top Nationals including ones into 20 mph-plus winds over 230-foot fences!”
The Athletics Greg/Tidd team went 15-3 in two events over the last two weeks.

* Taylor Davison, a 2023 Extra Elite 100 catcher for Wasco Diamonds 16U SG, helped her injury-ravaged team win five consecutive elimination games to get to the championship game against Texas Blaze in Colorado at the TC 16 Fireworks Open.
Even in the heat, played every inning behind the plate for the Diamonds, Taylor went 16-for-29 (.552 batting average) in 11 games with four home runs including a grand slam in a gme where she went 3-for-4 with seven RBIs.
In a quarter-final win on Sunday, she went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a single, a walk and three RBIs in a 5-4 win in nine innings after two ITBs.
For the week, Taylor had 15 RBIs, eight walks, a .595 on-base percentage and a 1.664.
But her most impressive accomplishments may have been on defense where, being the full-time catcher in those 11 games, she had no errors nor passed balls, especially notable when you factor in she’s been attending multi-day prospect camps at Big Ten and SEC schools this summer.
Taylor has two more camps this week and then will play in the PGF Stars & Stripes Showcase near Chicago.

* Macee Eaton, a 2023 1B/C for the Beverly Bandits DeMarini – Allen team, went 9-for-19 (.474) with four home runs and eight RBIs playing in the Boulder IDT.
She has played in other notable events with top competition such as the PGF Show Me the Money tournament and the Top Gun Invitational where her team finished first after going 11-0 and Macee led the team with a .523 batting average, four home runs and 10 RBIs.
For the season, she is hitting .378 with a team-best nine home runs.
* Kassandra (KC) Machado, a 2021 third baseman for the Jacksonville Storm – Sheperd 18U National team and a Liberty University signee, had a big weekend at a showcase in Georgia as she had six home runs and 10 RBIs in five games.
She helped lead her Doral Academy softball team to a Florida state championship this year as well.

* Ally Callahan, a 2022 catcher for the Mississippi Bombers 16 Gold/Knight team, was strong this week in the Colorado Sparkler Power Pool.
She hit .529 with two home runs, four doubles and nine RBIs and for the summer is batting .451 with a .529 on-base percentage and 27 RBIs.
Ally is committed to the University of Central Arkansas.
* Janae Combs, a 2023 3B/C with Breakers Labs/Carter 16U out of San Diego, had five home runs including a grand slam to go with six doubles, a .419 batting average and an impressive 21 RBIs at the Colorado Sparkler tournament
Ranked #61 in the 2023 Extra Elite 100, Janae helped her team go 7-3 at Sparkler and is now hitting .452 on the Summer season with 10 home runs and 46 RBIs.
