A Shift I Didn’t Expect

When I arrived at Texas State, I thought I knew how to field a ground ball. I had been successful, trusted my glove, and believed I was fundamentally sound. Then Coach Scott Woodard began emphasizing something that made me hesitant. He wanted me to field the ball outside of my body any chance I had.
